All rights, so, for our second day trying to go raw, we did pretteh much teh same as day 1. Old food mixed wif a bit more of teh new kibble this time, and today half a chick-hen medallion each. (Yesterday was beef.)
Trying to show wif teh camera, Audrey ignored teh medallion again and wented straight for teh dry food.
But after quite a long bout of sniffing, I decided to give this chick-hen medallion a try.... And I liked it! Okay, so day 2 is definitely a little bit betters. I am coming around, but we is wondering if Audrey will give in soon.

Now, Miss Cake...you should go ahead and try. It's chick-hen and better'n beef.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Attie! I myself do not like beef, either. Our favorite flavor is rabbit. We sometimes like to drag pieces off the plate and eat off the floor, too!
ReplyDeleteLooks so yummy!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBet it taste so much yummmmmier!!
Maybe try warming up the medallion just slightly (not cooking it!) - it may release some juices and wonderful smells that might entice her.
ReplyDeleteYou might also try breaking it up a bit and maybe mashing a portion of it into some of her kibble, since she seems to really like it. Anything to get her to take even a small nibble of it.
(I know the goal is to feed it entirely raw, and warming it up seems contrary to that goal, but she has to start eating it first! Once she starts eating it, you can stop warming it up.)
You should try mushing up the wet food with the kibble, just use your hand and squish it all together. It usually works with my fosters, good luck!
ReplyDeleteWowie, you really do like that chick-hen, Attie!
ReplyDeleteIn order for me to eat one of those medallions, TW would have to cut in up into bite size pieces like she does if she slips me human food. I don't like beef or chick-hen, so I doubt I'd give either one more than a sniff. I do really like Audrey's dish.
ReplyDeleteI guess Audrey only likes the medallions if Attie is eating them!
ReplyDeletethose foods look awfully good

Attie, maybe you can convince Audrey that she's missing out on some good food! fun to watch you chewing away - that's good for your teefs :)

That looks yummy. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you really like that chicken!
ReplyDeleteAttie, we want to jump through the computer screen and help you eat that chicken!! It looks nommy!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Attie! It's great watching you enjoy your chicken. Maybe you should cut Audrey's up into really small pieces. Herman likes his meat in really small bits, though he only eats cooked meat because of his compromised immune system.
