As soon as we is back, we is gone...

We is starting to think Apple is a little shady. Exactly one year ago, we boughted a brand spanky new MacBook Pro, and it promptly died. Under warranty, it was fixed for free. But now, almost one year to the day of the repair, it has died again. Same problem, the hard drive. We is verreh cranky, and my mommeh is even crankier, saying words I is not allowed to says. So she has to bring it to Apple tomorrow night after she leaves The Work Place, and see what on earth is the matter again - but the prollem is the warranty is up so if it costs much to fix we will not be around for a while, its short on green papers around here lately, and doing bloggies from the cell phone like this is No Good. So... sees you when we sees you. *sigh*

  3. Oh, dear. We have generally found MacBook Pro to be reliable. Mom has had 3 of them in turn for her work and each has lasted at least 4 years without trouble. In fact, it was our iMac that had problems while under warranty!!

Did Mommy pay for it with a credit card? Maybe the credit card extends the warranty another year. Or we sure hope the Apple folks will consider the new drive would be warranted for a year. Best of luck!!!

  6. Oh no! It's horrible that you ended up with the bad apple of the bunch. Our MacBook, not a Pro, died last year too, but it was several years old. It's heart just stopped.

  9. Ugh. I hope you are able to get the problem fixed. My human has been working with Macs twice as long as I've been alive (even a little longer than that, really), and she's only gotten one really sucky computer from them, and once a hard drive crashed on a computer she was using at work circa 1990. Most of her experiences otherwise have been pretty good. Our Macbook Pro is 2 years old and is still working well (whap on wood!).
